The prefix will be followed by a 6-digit unique engine number in the range of 56300 \u2013 56500. These engines are to Cooper S specification and included removable tappet covers on the rear of the engine block.<\/p>\n<p>Prefix 2: 1200 &#8211; This prefix was applied to the vast majority of Clubman GTs, and has been sighted on cars as early as August 1971. During October 1971, these 1200 prefixed motors are believed to have become the exclusive engine fitted to all GTs through to late 1972.
